This piece is inspired by evening walks through the historic Nuʻuanu Valley. A place of profound significance, Nuʻuanu was the site of a pivotal battle that unified the Hawaiian Islands under King Kamehameha. The valley was also home to key agricultural lands and many high-ranking members of Hawaiian royalty and government.
