About Lila
Lila Payton is a Hawaii-based artist who specializes in oil painting. She loves using vibrant colors and surrealist elements to create pieces that reflect the beauty and wonder she sees in the world.
When she’s not painting, Lila enjoys staying active through free diving, running, and always listening to music. She finds joy in life’s simple moments, approaching each day with a grateful, positive outlook.
Lila’s path hasn’t always been easy. She faced years of struggles with addiction and mental health, but at 26, she has now been sober for two years. Her recovery has been supported by an amazing community of family, friends, mentors, and mental health professionals. Lila is deeply thankful for this second chance at life, and her relationship with God is at the core of everything she does.
“After everything I’ve been through, I asked myself, ‘What do I do with this new life?’” she says. For Lila, the answer was simple—use her creative talents to give back. Through her art, she celebrates life’s beauty and expresses the gratitude she feels every day. Her paintings are a way of sharing the hope and joy she has found.
Lila believes that sobriety has given her a responsibility to help others, and she hopes her story can inspire those who may be facing their own struggles. Whether through her art or personal journey, she is committed to fostering connection, faith, and growth in her community.
