Lanikai
This piece was created while sitting on Lanikai Beach on a cloudy day. Despite the overcast, the beach was full of life.
The water had a glowing glacier blue. I feel the most connected to the earth when I’m either underwater or painting it’s beauty directly from life.
I love this piece because it captures a sense of movement that you can’t get from a photo. The water seems to speak as it rolls onto the shore, and the Mokulua seem to whisper, “capture me.”
Video depicts 8×10 print with a half mat. Matting descriptions can be found at the bottom of this page.
